The insulating glass for quiet and comfort
Noise is becoming a real scourge of mankind. The noise produced by planes, trains and automobiles, as well as machinery, televisions, radios and domestic appliances is ever present, and even follows us into our sleep. Even if we are not consciously aware of it, our body reacts via the vegetative nervous system, circulation, pulse, blood pressure. Therefore, for good soundproofing, a precise knowledge of the respective noise source is of considerable importance.
ISOLAR AKUSTEX® adds to your quality of life with noise and heat insulation properties. Sound insulating glazing combines the unique properties of transparent material glass with the option of preventative sound insulation. The principle is very simple. Depending on the requirements you can use:
- thick glass (increased mass)
- construction using various thicknesses of glass (“asymmetry”)
- greatest possible distance between panes
- Sound insulating bonded glass (“Acoustic laminated safety glass”)
The right glass for every situation
The extensive range of products in the ISOLAR AKUSTEX® sound insulating glass range means there is the right glass for every situation, for example with regard to sound insulation and installation thickness. Where there is a particular challenge for sound insulation, we recommend using AKUSTEX® AF structures with a sound insulating bonded safety glass. For particularly high noise protection requirements, ISOLAR AKUSTEX® AF sound insulating glazing is available, which has sound insulating bonded safety glass on both sides.
Additional functionality - thermal insulation
All AKUSTEX® sound insulating glazing boasts a high performance thermal insulation coating, which has no effect on sound insulation. It also has a gas filling in the cavity, which contributes to enhanced thermal insulation performance. Moreover, your ISOLAR® Partner has a comprehensive range of ISOLAR AKUSTEX® three-way sound insulating glass, which combines the sound insulating properties of AKUSTEX® with the thermal insulation of ISOLAR NEUTRALUX® three-way thermal insulation glass.
