In the world of preventative fire protection, the proper interplay of all the components is critically important in an emergency. Even the smallest weak point can have fatal consequences. Therefore fire protection glazing is fundamentally a building component which is made up of the fire protection glass, the frame construction, and all fixings and connectors. Fire protection glazing is only tested and certified in this complete form.
Fire protection glazing keeps escape routes safe in the event of a fire. This is why it is subject to particularly tough, extensive testing. Fire protection glazing class EI and E, stops fire and smoke from spreading according to the fire resistance time rating; glazing in class EI also blocks heat penetration (thermal insulation).
ISOLAR ARDOREX® ARNOLD-FIRE® for fire protection class F (EI)
ISOLAR ARDOREX® ARNOLD-FIRE® is a proven fire protection glass class F(EI), manufactured by the ISOLAR® Group. It shows its life saving qualities when used in building regulation approved fire protection glazing with a fire resistance class EI 30 to EI 120.
Approvals from the German Institute for Structural Engineering are available, among others for ISOLAR ARDOREX® ARNOLD-FIRE® in various steel constructions, aluminium constructions with and without doors, in hardwood constructions as Georgian bars or outdoor light rows and in plasterboard stud walls with simple self-assembly systems.
Your ISOLAR® partner will be delighted to help you with any questions relating to structural fire protection using glass.
