Glass can be found wherever elegance and functionality are required. It offers transparency and fills spaces with light, is perfect for architectural effects and creative design options, and yet is more flexible and easy to maintain than hardly any other material.
Where art meets glass
With its variety of shapes, colours, patterns, and motifs, glass offers architects and planners virtually unlimited possibilities for creating individual design elements for interior spaces. And because glass shows few signs of ageing, it is a very sustainable solution for your home, your office, and many other applications.
ISOLAR DEKOREX® decochrome
ISOLAR DEKOREX® decochrome oHT – reflective brilliance in chrome
The innovative solution for decorative facade and interior glazing. ISOLAR DEKOREX® decochrome oHT is a chrome-based coating. The surface mirror from arcon can be used as non-tempered float glass or as thermally toughened safety glass or semi-tempered glass. Due to the innovative layer design, the change in colour due to the thermal treatment is barely perceptible. In addition, ISOLAR DEKOREX®decochrome oHT can be laminated to laminated safety glass.
ISOLAR DEKOREX® decochrome design: for creative glass design
Using ISOLAR DEKOREX® decochrome design in interior and exterior spaces creates entirely new design possibilities. ISOLAR DEKOREX® decochrome design can be applied to a carrier material (float, thermally toughened safety glass, or laminated safety glass) according to your wishes and ideas. Whether you want to create fine lines or large area designs, everything is possible. ISOLAR DEKOREX® decochrome design is based on ISOLAR DEKOREX® decochrome oHT and has the same colour palette.
- Facade or interior
- Shop and exhibition construction
- Sanitary facilities
- Security or two-way mirrors
- Reflection layer side 61%
- Transmission 5 %
Due to their composition, ISOLAR DEKOREX® decochrome oHT and ISOLAR DEKOREX® decochrome design are highly resistant to stresses and have passed the following EN 1096-2 Class A tests:
- Abrasion and acid resistance
- Condensation resistance and resistance to neutral salt spray
ISOLAR DEKOREX® Screen print
ISOLAR DEKOREX® Screen print is tempered safety glass that has been screen printed with ceramic inks. These are cured at 650°C during the pre-stressing process and thus permanently connected to the glass. ISOLAR Screen Print is weather-resistant, abrasion- and scratch-resistant, acid and alkali-resistant, UV-stable, temperature-resistant, and shock-resistant. So flexible that it knows almost no limits.
ISOLAR Screen print can be used both outdoors and interiors, for example, on a balustrade or balcony, as wall cladding or partition walls, for privacy screening, or as signage.
There is a wide variety of colours and decorative motifs to choose from. The colour specification is only an approximation of the RAL colour, because the intrinsic colour of the glass and the manufacturing process make a precise RAL colour definition impossible. In addition, many individual colour mixtures are within the scope of possibility.
ISOLAR DEKOREX® Digital print
Digital printing makes glass surfaces individual
Digitally printed glass is an increasingly popular option for the custom design of interior glass, especially with images. In contrast to conventional screen printing methods, which are suitable for mass production, digital printing works especially well for small orders or even individual pieces. Digital printing on glass transfers graphics, images, photos, or patterns directly from a computer to thermally toughened safety glass. There are no limits to your imagination, because everything is possible, from creating an art object out of glass to the complete facade of a building.
The ceramic ink is applied directly to the glass surface by a method similar to that used by an ink jet printer and the thickness of the ink application can vary. The colours are permanently bonded to the glass surface during the firing process in the oven, scratch-resistant, and can be laminated and processed into insulating glass. The paint is generally applied thinner than with roller coating, casting, or screen printing processes and, depending on the colour selected, can be opaque or translucent.
All tempered and partially tempered glasses can be digitally printed with ceramic inks and used both indoors and out. Suitable templates for printing are the usual graphics formats (including PDF, PS, EPS, TIF, BMP, and JPG) with a resolution of at least 360 dpi.
So let your creativity run wild and lend a very special touch to your next project.
