Access data/Server log files

The provider (or its web space provider) collects data about every access to the offer (so-called server log files) for statistical evaluation for the purpose of operation, security and optimisation of the offer. These access data include:

  • Name of the website accessed
  • date and time of server queries
  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • IP address and the requesting provider.
  • Referrer URL (Internet address, previously visited page)
  • Name of the retrieved file and amount of data transferred
  • Message if the retrieval was successful

However, the provider reserves the right to review the log data retrospectively if, on the basis of specific evidence, the legitimate suspicion of unlawful use exists. These data shall not be combined with data from other sources.

The basis for data processing is Article 6 para. 1 lit. b of the GDPR which permits the processing of data for the performance of a contract or due to pre-contractual measures.

A complete protection of your data from access by third parties can not be guaranteed in the case of data transmission in the Internet (for example, email communication) due to possible security gaps.

Handling personal data

When using the website, confidential personal information is collected that may allow personal identification. This includes, for example, name, telephone number, address, as well as all data that you provide to us during registration, payment processing, execution of a contract and when creating your customer account.

SSL encryption

To protect the security of your personal information during transmission, we use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption.

Cookies are small text files that allow users to store specific device-related information on their access device. They help make websites more user friendly and benefit the user (e.g. for storing login data). They also help record the statistical data for the website use, and aid analysis to help improve the service. A differentiation is always made between two different types of cookies, so-called session cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser and cookies that are stored until deletion by you on your device. The user can have an influence on the use of cookies. Most browsers have an option which allows the user to restrict or completely prevent the saving of cookies. However, we point out that our website and service works only to a limited extent, if you prevent the use of cookies.

Cookies which are necessary to allow electronic communications or to provide certain functions you wish to use (such as the shopping cart) are set on the basis of Article 6 para. 1 lit. f of the GDPR. The website owner has a legitimate interest in the storing of cookies for the technically correct and optimised delivery of its services.

You can manage many corporate online ad cookies through the US-based page  or the EU page

Google Analytics

Google Analytics cookies are stored on the basis of Article 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both its website and its advertising purposefully.

This service uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. (‘Google’). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, text files which are stored on the user’s computer and permit the analysis of use of the website. The information about the user’s use of this website gathered by the cookie is, as a rule, transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

If IP anonymisation, however, has been activated on this website, Google will first abbreviate the user’s IP address within the European Union, or in other treaty states of the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the whole IP address first be transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. IP anonymisation is active on this website. On behalf of the operator of the website, Google will use this information to evaluate the user’s use of the website for the purposes of generating reports on website activity in order to provide the website operator with further services related to website and internet use.

The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be associated with other data by Google. Users can prevent the storage of cookies by using the appropriate setting on their browser software; however we would point out to users that if you do this, you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. In addition, users can prevent Google from collecting data on their use of the website (including their IP address) generated by the cookie, and also prevent the processing of these data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available via the following link.

As an alternative to the browser add-on or within browsers on mobile devices, please click this  link to prevent future data collection by Google Analytics within this site. This will then place an opt-out cookie on your device. If you delete your cookies, you will have to click on this link again.

This offer uses Vimeo, a Vimeo, LLC software company, with headquarters at 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, United States, for video inclusion. The Vimeo player allows the integration and playback of videos on the website. If a Vimeo player is included in the page content, a connection to Vimeo servers outside of Europe is automatically established. Inclusion of services and content from third parties

It may happen that content from third parties, such as videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites are included in this offer. This always presupposes that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as “third party provider”) perceive the IP address of the users. This is because the content cannot be sent to the individual user's browser without the IP address. Your IP address is therefore necessary to display this content. We strive only to use content from providers who use the IP address to deliver content, and for nothing else. However, we have no influence over the third party provider if they store the IP address for statistical purposes, for example. If we become aware of this, we shall notify the user.

When contact is made with the supplier (such as by means of the contact form or by email), the information the user provides is saved for purposes of processing the enquiry and also in case there are follow up questions. These data will not be passed on without your consent.

The processing of your data, which you submit when you contact us, is based on your consent (Article 6 para. 1 lit. a of the GDPR). Your consent can be revoked at any time. This does not affect the legality of any data processing done before we receive your request.

As long as no request for deletion of data is made, the consent for the storage is revoked or the purpose for the data storage is no longer valid, the data communicated when making contact remain with us. Statutory retention periods shall remain unaffected.

Revocation can be made via a link within the newsletter itself, in your profile area or by notifying us via the above contact information.
