ISOLAR® glass - an idea succeeds
Whoever can solve a customer's central problem better than others cannot prevent his own success. This general experience comes from the life and work of Alfred Arnold, the inventor of ISOLAR® glass and founder of the ISOLAR® community; band can be confirmed in an impressive way. From the very beginning he was convinced that, through active use of technological innovation, a better glass usage can be made to the customers’ advantage.
It started in 1959 when he replaced the, at that time state-of-the-art, rigid edge combination with an elastic, adhesive system. The advantages for the customers were enormous: fewer failures, higher capacity, and a longer product life time. Moreover, the delivery times were reduced because ISOLAR® glass could be produced in a decentralized way with this new edge combination. But this "revolution" in insulating glass production was only the beginning. By licensing to other companies, the importance of the ISOLAR® community grew. And with ISOLAR®'s size, the innovation strength also grew.
Today the ISOLAR® community has special solutions for the most various requirements: NEUTRALUX® high grade heat insulating glass, AKUSTEX® insulating soundproof glass, SOLARLUX® solar control glass and MULTIPACT® are only a few of the special glasses offered here. Thanks to ingenuity and consistent customer consideration, ISOLAR® has become one of the most distinguished insulating glass brands. Whereby, all the medium-sized member enterprises in the ISOLAR® community have kept their independence. The newest steps in this direction are the introductions of innovative products like the solar electric glass VOLTARLUX®, the vacuum insulation paneel VACUREX® and at least the new bird protection glass ORNILUX®. |
